THE STORY OF POWERHOUSE INTERIORSMeet Kris Harline
Interior design captivated me from a young age. I vividly remember seeing my cousin in design school and knowing instantly that I had to do this, too. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Arizona State University. Even before graduating, I worked as a design assistant for top interior designers in Scottsdale, absorbing everything I could.
After graduation, I joined a prestigious custom cabinet shop in Phoenix, where I honed my understanding of craftsmanship, materials, and the intricate details that define luxury interiors. My expertise caught the attention of a local interior designer from one of the most coveted firms in the Valley, and she invited me to join her firm. For the next 10 years, I immersed myself in the world of high-end residential design, managing 10+ projects at a time, from concept to completion. It shaped everything I knew about masterfully blending form and function and orchestrating every detail with precision. Over a decade of deeply artful and highly technical experience prepared me for what was next.

After years of refining my craft, I embraced a new challenge—expanding the residential division of a prominent commercial design firm. This experience deepened my expertise in luxury interiors, business strategy, and client collaboration.
Yet, deep down, I knew my true passion was creating something of my own—a firm that reflected my vision, creativity, and dedication to unparalleled design. With two decades of experience shaping extraordinary spaces, I took the leap and founded Powerhouse Interiors.

When I’m not in design mode, I’m with my family in the East Valley. I’m married to a like-minded, sweet, bearded entrepreneur. Our three boys live and breathe soccer, baseball, and gaming. Outside of work, I love binge-watching old shows, listening to podcasts, or grabbing drinks with friends.
I’m also a lover of the outdoors — skiing, snowboarding, and, most of all, listening to ocean waves with my toes in the sand. One day, I plan to drag my husband on a European tour to explore all the architecture and art museums on my bucket list.
